Teleconferences

AIA's Teleconference held on August 19, 2009.

Our Presenter:
Carol Quigless

Topic:
7 Ways to Facilitate Expansion of Clinical Aromatherapy
into Allopathic Settings

About the Teleconference:
Learn about Carol’s game plan that landed oil blends in not only a nursing home but also in ambulatory surgery at the local hospital which is part of the East Carolina University network that reaches throughout eastern NC.

Meet Carol Quigless:
Carol Quigless has been involved in holistic therapies for approximately
24 years.  Her interest in alternative modalities is somewhat unusual inasmuch as her father was an allopathic country doctor in the south who scorned the town “root doctor” and thought eastern medicine was just nonsense.  Carol’s crossover to alternative ways happened as she ran out of options for healing a pre-ulcer condition and grew exasperated with pain.  Her discovery that alternative measures “work” has led her down a path that includes state and national certification in massage therapy, Qi Gong training, Master-Teacher Level in Reiki, current training in Touch for Health applied kinesiology, and clinical aromatherapy certification from Dr. Raphael D’Angelo.  In 2007 she opened a natural health clinic at her dad’s old clinic building that serves a small town and rural area in eastern North Carolina.  She uses aromatherapy extensively in her practice as well has distributing some blends.
